Meet Nigeria’s First Female Ambassador To The United States of America  Dr. Uzoma Emenike has been approved by President, Muhammadu Buhari  as Nigeria's ambassador to the United States. Dr. Uzoma Emenike is the first female Nigerian ambassador to the United States of America according to Office of the Chief Protocol, US Department of State.  Dr. Uzoma Emenike hails from Abia State and she is 55 years old. Dr Emenike is the current Ambassador to Ireland, with concurrent accreditation to Iceland. In 2016 President Mohammed Buhari sent her name, alongside 45 others, to the Senate for confirmation as non-career ambassadors.  She holds two bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees, and a doctorate from University of Lagos and University of Reading, UK. Biden reverses Trump’s travel ban on Nigeria. BY ORIH MICHAEL CHINAEMEREM President Joe Biden, who is the newly sworn-in  president, of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, has issued an executive order nullifying the travel ban imposed on countries by Donald Trump. Immediately after his inauguration on Wednesday, President Joe Boden issued  a number of executive orders  undoing some of the policies and projects of his predecessor. According to president Biden who said,“There’s no time to waste.“These are just all starting points,”  before signing the 17 executive orders in the White House.  President Biden has also submitted a letter renewing the U.S. ”commitment to funding the World Health organisation and honoring the country’s policies on climate change”.
