The Coalition of Non-Indigenes in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ondo State, has held a strategic meeting with the Seriki of Shasha Market, Akure, as part of its ongoing grassroots mobilisation and community engagement activities.
The meeting, which took place at Shasha Market in Akure, the Ondo State capital, provided an opportunity for the Coalition to formally engage with the leadership of the Hausa community, discuss issues affecting the community, and strengthen communication and understanding ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Coalition representatives explained the purpose of the visit and emphasised the importance of inclusiveness, peaceful participation, community development and active engagement in the democratic process.
The Seriki and members of the community leadership welcomed the delegation and shared their perspectives and concerns, while expressing their willingness to maintain dialogue with the Coalition.
The engagement is part of the Coalition’s broader grassroots outreach to non-indigenous communities across Ondo State.
