GOVERNOR AKEREDOLU SET TO BUY INTO NEW IDEAS, INVESTMENT TO IMPROVE CITIZENS LIVELIHOOD.

Employment is one of the most important social and economic issues in every State in Nigeria. The rate of unemployment in Nigeria has contributed to the recession and the down side of the economic growth of the Nation.

 In Ondo State, the  governor elect Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN. has opined that employment generation is a significant drive of the growth rate of GDP in the sunshine state. Therefore, in  Ondo state  economy, most employment is in the informal sector.

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has join their voice with other meaning citizens of the state who have congratulated the Ondo state Governor over his victory at the just concluded governorship election  and praised Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, over his vision  in creating job opportunities through the advent of  industrialization  thereby placing Ondo state on the path of economic upgrade in the country.

RMAFC  which was led by Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu Yaman hailed  the Governor for his foresight with Ondo Linyi industrial hub which has given the state high economic value and independence. He also applauded Governor Akeredolu for the massive development in all the sectors across  the state especially in the state  Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from the sum of  700 million Naira monthly IGR  which Akeredolu inherited from the previous government to 2Billion Naira monthly. 

The Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN administration knows that  in order for Ondo State to grow faster, "The State needs more investment," 

According to the Ondo state Governor. " "This has been the driving force behind the Ondo State industrial hub. The most important thing is having private sectors to grow in the next decade 10-15 times larger to really make a dent in unemployment and poverty in Ondo State".

Akeredolu also emphasized the need for  restructuring as  there must be a fundamental change in the approach to the system of government in the country. He said  in no distance time ” Oil will not be in support of our economy. However Ondo state is ready to buy into new ideas and investment that will improve the livelihood of the citizens of the state”
